Terms of Service
1. Scope of Services and Availability
These terms of service apply to all services purchased by you (the client) and Pippa’s Pooches. All services are subject to availability. Descriptions of the services on this website do not constitute a contract but are an invitation to place an order with Pippa’s Pooches.
2. Right to Decline Service
Pippa’s Pooches reserves the right to reject an order for any reason once submitted, but will provide you with due notice.
3. Training Approach and Ethics
All training and behaviour modification methods used are grounded in scientific research and modern learning theory, supported by years of hands-on experience with a wide variety of breeds and behavioural issues. Aversive, punitive, or force-based techniques and/or equipment are never used in any training or behaviour plans.
4. Data Protection and Media Use
Your information will be retained and used as per GDPR guidelines. Pippa’s Pooches may take photographs and videos during training events; if you do not wish these to be used on social media, it is your responsibility to indicate this prior to the event.
5. Liability and Responsibility
Participation in workshops, classes, and events is taken at your own risk. You should have your own third-party liability insurance for your dog. You are fully responsible for any damages or harm caused by yourself or your dog. Pippa’s Pooches does not accept responsibility for any damage or harm to persons or property (e.g. personal belongings, vehicles, buildings, dogs) during training sessions or related activities.
Children 10 years and over are welcome to attend classes, children 16 years and over are welcome to attend mantrailing sessions. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult over 25 years old at either classes or mantrailing sessions at all times due to health and safety, and insurance reasons.
6. Dog Bites and Legal Responsibilities
Pippa’s Pooches takes all reasonable precautions during training sessions to avoid injury resulting from dog bites. However, we do not accept responsibility for any injury or damage resulting from such incidents. Clients are reminded that the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 (Section 3) applies to all 1:1 sessions, workshops, and classes.
7. Right to Remove a Client
Pippa’s Pooches reserves the right to remove a client from any event for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of aversive methods or equipment, failure to follow instructions, disruptive behaviour, or actions that compromise the safety of others in the session.
8. Cancellations and Rescheduling
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a 1:1 session, or payment for that session will be forfeited. A maximum of two 1:1 sessions can be rescheduled. Payment for any service confirms your agreement to this cancellation policy.
9. Payment Terms
Payment for new client 1:1 sessions is required within a week of booking. If payment is not received within this timeframe, your session(s) may be released to other clients. Payment for continuation sessions is required 24 hours before each session, if any session is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice the session will be charged for in full.
