Gundog Training Classes (for Pet Dogs)

Please Note: these classes are currently only available to existing clients of Pippa’s Pooches

Starting off at Foundation A, work your way up to Skills Builder 3….

5 levels, each 6 classes… many skills… are you up for the challenge? 😉

Foundation A: designed to give you and your dog the perfect start in gundog-style training. The techniques and games will build engagement, and get you and your dog working as a TEAM 😃. 

Course content : 

Placeboard skills

Introduction to the recall whistle

Introduction to the stop whistle

Steadiness/stay

Development of a basic retrieve

Heel position

For the keen amongst you, at the end of this Foundation, there will be an opportunity for you and your dog to demonstrate the skills you have learnt in a mock assessment setup!

Foundation B: you will improve on everything you learnt in Foundation A plus..

Stop Whistle at a distance 

Foundations of quartering and hunting pattern  

Adding duration and distance to previous behaviours

Marked retrieves

An assessment of dog and handler skills via a setup will be required to progress to Skills Builder 1*
